Our Founder & Principal
Ian Kelly-Thomas is the Principal of IKT Holdings, Inc. His mission is to provide business valuations to business owners highlighting aspects of their business that encourage strategic buyers to pay above fair market value.
Ian began his career working for international law firm Baker McKenzie in Silicon Valley. Seventeen years ago he transitioned to the financial services industry holding positions in the regulatory, compliance, and risk management functions for publicly traded brokerage firms like LPL Financial (LPLA) headquartered in San Diego, California. Over the past ten years he has held roles leading consulting teams involved in: private and mid-market business valuation; mergers and acquisitions; m&a deal financing; partnership dissolution mediation; corporate reorganization and turn around management; start-up consulting, and start-up founding.
In 2019 he founded IKT Holdings, Inc. to provide business valuation and m&a advisory services to business owners seeking to sell their business. Since its founding IKT Holdings, Inc. has added capabilities including becoming registered in California as an investment advisory firm (CRD 316459) enabling the firm to provide investment advice and estate planning services that serve business owners by enhancing tax mitigation when constructing deal terms for the sale of their business.
Ian attended the University of California at Berkeley ('02) where he served as co-captain of the Men's Gymnastics Team; Golden Gate University School of Law; and the Eli Broad School of Business. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designations.

Johanna Schnell brings over a decade of experience building systems, teams, and programs that help organizations thrive. As Technical Program Manager at IKT Holdings, she bridges the gap between engineering and business, delivering scalable, high-impact solutions that simplify complex operations and empower clients.
Her background spans youth advocacy, nonprofit media, EdTech, and business operations, giving her a unique ability to design intentional experiences and create meaningful connections while driving measurable growth. Johanna has led cross-functional teams across international projects, developed CRM and workflow automation systems for small businesses, and produced initiatives that expanded organizational capacity by more than 30%.
At IKT Holdings, Johanna partners with our clients to streamline operations, improve client success, and build trusted relationships. With expertise in technical program management, cross-functional leadership, and workflow automation, she translates complex systems into simple, effective processes that reduce friction and unlock value.
Her technical toolkit includes CRM integrations, API workflows, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Airtable, Jira, and Notion. Beyond her technical fluency, Johanna brings a people-first perspective—ensuring that every system we build works not only for businesses but also for the people behind them.
